Oyster Roast, 2019
I was tasked with creating the graphics and overall theme for this event. First, I began creating individual assets: the oysters, lemons, hot sauce, etc. Originally, I thought I might create an illustration, but instead I combined them all into a repeating pattern.
The pattern had sort of a mid-century feel, and I started picturing summer barbecues in the 50’s. That’s when I decided to make the “save the date” look like an old postcard.
I carried that look over to posters and signage, one of which was an infographic on pet dental care (the event being held to raise funds for a remodeled dental suite). Here I also kept to a mid-century theme.
