In 2020, I spearheaded the creation of all printed event materials for the GMHS annual auction and gala, which included invitations, a program book, signage, and a promotional poster. The theme was “The Golden Paws” and the director wanted a design that evoked an Old Hollywood awards ceremony. I took inspiration from the Art Deco period with the gem tone color palette and the geometric designs. The paw shape on top of GMHS is reminiscent of the shell patterns commonly found in Art Deco. I injected a bit of Hollywood flair with the night sky and spotlights as well as the design meant to invoke an old movie theater marquee.
